In this final CCEL newsletter for the 2023-2024 academic year, we celebrate the presence and innovations of our
cherished partners from Spanish-speaking countries and communities. The diverse peoples featured in this newsletter offer rich and multifaceted insights into their identities and heritage. In honor of those in our community from the Spanish-speaking world, we have featured the artistry of Bethel student Max Feliciano Lopez throughout this newsletter. At the closing of this newsletter, Dr. May comments on the unveiling of the Rondo Avenue street sign and celebrates the life of Arthur Melvin Samuel (Sammy) McDowell, whose hospitality and open-heartedness continue to influence how we can love one another in the midst of our comings and goings. So, as we ponder the stories showcased in this edition of the CCEL
